Israeli leaders have no mandate to scale-back the assault on Hamas. In memory of my beloved young friend, the brave Israeli soldier and singer-scholar of a soul, Yonadav Levenstein, may the Heavens avenge his death.
Reticence to condemn Hamas amounts to collusion against Israel. Hesitancy to express explicit support for Israel at this time, which also will mean unequivocally backing Israel in the many months ahead of tough fighting to crush Hamas, is tantamount to siding with the enemy.
Shattered by Hamas atrocities are decades of faulty strategy. Not shattered by Hamas is the age-old stamina and spirit of the Jewish People; the grit to survive and thrive.
The only real power standing in the way of Palestinian terrorism and Iranian hegemonism is Israel. Alas, no understanding of this reality could be found in media reporting on, or the reactions in most Western capitals to, the IDF operation in Jenin this week.
There is no moral equivalence whatsoever between Palestinian terrorists and Israeli troops. Falsely balanced diplomatic formulations like those that "call upon all sides to end the cycle of violence" must be rejected. This is prattle that covers for Palestinian extremism and rejectionism, and retards the cause of peace.
Compared to the ongoing Palestinian terrorist mega-pogrom against Israeli Jews, the Huwara rampage must rank as one the weakest pogroms in the ugly history of pogroms. So where is the anguish over Israeli Jews continuously murdered by Palestinian terrorists?
Washington and Brussels have no business second-guessing Israel’s security operations.
