In a deliberate American campaign to scuttle any planned Israeli hit on Iran, the Obama administration is leaking classified intelligence assessments and documents that rip deep into Israel’s most sensitive military zones.

J Street is at it again. Undermining Israel. Its annual conference in Washington next week is to trumpet the insidious message: “Tell President Obama thank you for standing up to those beating the drums of war!” And yes, there will also be the usual spiritual drivel about “Jewish values” that lead to the moral need to confront Israel.

This US President is not going to order a military strike on Iran. No amount of rhetoric can cloak his true feelings.

Forgive me if Obama’s current charm offensive leaves me skeptical of the depth of his profundity and sincerity when it comes to Israel. I don’t at all feel that Obama “has Israel’s back.”

The demand that Jerusalem be sundered into parts is unwise, and unfair both to Jewish history and to Israel’s fine stewardship of the city.
